Outside General Counsel

 

Roddick Legal serves as outside general counsel to various small and mid-sized businesses, which may not have in-house legal counsel or human resource departments.  It also serves as local counsel for internationally head-quartered businesses throughout Asia and Australia.  As outside general counsel, Roddick Legal works intimately with management and employees on a day-to-day basis relating to general business matters, reviewing contracts, negotiating with service providers and handling personnel and workplace issues.  



International Business

 

Roddick Legal assists international businesses seeking guidance with employing U.S.-based employees, including navigating local and state employment laws and various business-related requirements. Roddick Legal also represents such businesses in providing local counsel in various types of business and contract negotiations.


Litigation

 

Roddick Legal services clients through all phases of litigation, with the goal of minimal business disruption while obtaining favorable results.  It has defended companies and employers in state and federal court and in both bench and jury trials, single and multi-party disputes, and in class actions and representative actions under the Private Attorney General Act of 2004 (PAGA). Roddick Legal has also assisted clients to quickly resolve cases through alternative dispute resolution and settlements on favorable terms.
